Created by a college professor & anthropologist who has spent 15+ years teaching students about love, sex, and relationships.

Most of what you've heard about love — from social media, from friends, from well-meaning family members — comes with a side of contradiction.

One source tells you to play it cool. Another tells you to follow your heart.

And somewhere in the middle, you're left trying to make sense of your own feelings without a reliable framework for doing so.

This newsletter is something different. Every month, it breaks down real, current research on love — without judging how you experience it or what you want it to look like in your life.

Everything here is grounded in actual research studies and designed to be useful in real life.
No unsubstantiated claims. No mixed messages. Just honest, evidence-based insight into love, relationships, and — maybe most importantly — yourself.

Welcome to Your Love Class: Love, Sex & Relationships

Why I Created This

Hi, I’m Professor Stonecipher — a college professor, researcher, and real-talk advocate when it comes to love, sex, and dating. I teach one of the most popular courses at the University of Florida, and it is all about romantic love.

After years of teaching college students, one thing became clear: Students are already thinking deeply about love, relationships, and sex— they just don’t always have accurate information or a place to process it.

So I built the kind of class I wish all students could take. A class that that treats love as something worth studying,
and students as capable of understanding and excelling in their own relationships.

I also created a free monthly learning series (part science and part self-reflection) so the learning doesn’t stop when the semester ends.

Anyone can join. Whether you’re a former student or just discovering this space, if you care about understanding love and want to feel more confident and comfortable in your relationships, this is for you.

Students Say...

Anna M.

Professor S is an amazing instructor, and I looked forward to every week. Dr. S explained all of the content with clarity, passion, and most importantly, non–judgmentally. She made learning so engaging and fun. This has been a life-changing semester!

Lindsay W.

Professor S creates a very fun and open–minded environment where everyone can learn about love. Overall she is one of the best professors I've ever had and this100% changed my approach to dating. Everyone needs to learn with her!

Adam P.

Genuinely, nearly everything I learned with her will have application in my life. Not only did we learn about the latest research, we learned so much about ourselves through the readings, lectures, and discussions. I do not think I have taken a course that will have MORE application in my daily life moving forward.

This class draws on research in relationships, communication, and social behavior.
The same kinds of insights students encounter in their other academic subjects.
But instead of staying theoretical, everything is translated into real-life situations you’ll actually face in your love, sex, and dating life.
